Be part of Mulan’s next chapter.
One woman. One boat. Five years. The high latitudes.
I’m Echo, Skipper of SV Mulan, a Garcia Exploration 45 and the boat at the heart of my five-year high-latitude sailing journey.
I began learning to sail in Sydney in 2015. In 2025, Mulan began her journey north to Svalbard. In 2026, we sailed across the North Atlantic to East Greenland with an all-female crew of two.
The next planned chapter is the Northwest Passage in 2027, through the Canadian Arctic towards Alaska.
I welcome conversations with brands and organisations interested in supporting the voyages ahead and helping share the stories behind them.
Why partner with Mulan?
A sailing expedition brings together equipment, preparation and daily decisions. It offers a practical setting for showing how products fit into life aboard, alongside the people, places and experiences that give a voyage its meaning.
Mulan’s journey also brings a woman’s perspective to offshore sailing—and the experience of someone who began as an adult learner and developed her skills over years of training and boat ownership.
For partners, this is an opportunity to become part of an ongoing journey, with room for thoughtful storytelling and useful insights from the boat.
Ways to work together
Expedition Sponsorship
Support an individual voyage or a longer chapter of Mulan’s high-latitude programme. We can discuss a partnership suited to your organisation’s interests and the expedition’s needs.
Equipment & Technical Support
Explore opportunities to support Mulan with marine equipment, communications, clothing, power systems, maintenance or specialist expertise.
Where suitable, collaboration may include documenting installation, everyday use and practical feedback from aboard.
Film, Photography & Storytelling
Discuss commissioned stories, expedition imagery or editorial collaborations centred on the voyages and life aboard Mulan.
Content scope, usage rights and delivery schedules would be agreed for each project.
Talks & Community Events
Explore talks and conversations about learning to sail, boat ownership, expedition preparation and women’s experiences at sea.
A partnership built on trust
I’m interested in partnerships that make sense for the boat, the voyage and the people following it.
Any collaboration should allow honest accounts of equipment and experience. Sponsorship will be clearly acknowledged, and safety, weather and ice conditions will guide expedition decisions.
Each partnership will have an agreed scope, with clear expectations for recognition, content and timing.
Let’s start a conversation
If you see a connection between your organisation and Mulan’s journey, I’d love to hear from you.
Please share a little about your organisation, the kind of support or collaboration you have in mind, and your preferred timing.
Together, we can discuss what would make a useful and meaningful partnership.
